BUSINESS BREAKFAST SERIES EXPLORES THE IMPORTANCE OF EMPLOYEE RELATIONS TO ORGANIZATIONAL SUCCESS

Heights-Hillcrest Regional Chamber of Commerce (HRCC) welcomes Dr. Melvin Smith as the speaker for the last of this season’s acclaimed Business Breakfast Series, Thursday, June 21, 8:00 a.m. at Case Weatherhead School of Management. A light breakfast buffet will be served. Admission is $10 for HRCC members; $15 for non-members (additional fee for parking on the Case campus.) Dr. Smith is Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior and Faculty Director for Executive Education at Weatherhead School of Management. He will discuss "Enhancing Effectiveness through Social Capital," addressing the relationship between leaders and employees and its dramatic impact on rganizational success. Dr. Smith’s work on the nature of leadership and the role emotional intelligence plays in work relationships is widely recognized for its insight. His work on the connection between social networks and organizational performance has yielded real-world results in public education, healthcare and a variety of other fields.

HRCC’s monthly Business Breakfast Series examine issues critical to business growth and offer practical tools and ideas to energize business owners and their staffs.
