HRCC Member Nathan Wills Recognized as NOACC Bright Star

Chamber of Commerce "Bright Stars" for 2009 were recognized Thursday, October 29th at the semi annual board meeting of the Northern Ohio Area Chambers of Commerce (NOACC) under the bright lights of the stage of Cadillac Ranch on Public Square. Over 30 chambers of commerce participated by nominating their “Bright Star”: a chamber member who has …”made a significant impact on the chamber through membership, retention, sponsorship, economic development, operations and/or education.” The Bright Star had to have been an active chamber member for no less than two years, and were likely to be an unsung hero or behind the scenes dedicated volunteer.

Nathan Wills, of The Wills Firm, LLC, was nominated by HRCC. Wills is currently serving as Secretary on HRCC's Board of Directors, is Chair of the Programming and Young Professionals Team, and has had a significant impact in recruiting young professionals to HRCC membership. According to HRCC Executive Director, Angie Pohlman, "Nathan jumped into his membership with both feet. He immediately became involved in our Teams, and he saw the benefit of building relationships within the Chamber. He's a tremendous asset to our organization."

The stars received their plaques and “star trophies” from Michael Caramone, host of WKYC-TV 3’s "Good Company" who acknowledged that these are the “People who volunteer their time …and do it for their communities and their chambers to keep their economy going.”
